set design
“orchestrating a joyous and colorful aesthetic around existing objects to enrich their stories”
When I first started out as a stylist, it wasn’t just about the clothes for me — it was about telling a story. I was fascinated by how visuals could speak without words. Pretty quickly, I found myself building entire worlds around the model, crafting environments that gave context, emotion, and energy to the image.
One of my first big opportunities was creating trend books from scratch at Studio Edelkoort. That’s when it hit me — this is an actual job. Set design. World-building. Visual storytelling. And I was hooked.
What draws me in most is the space between what you see and what you feel — the tension, the layers, the subtle unraveling of a narrative. I love pushing boundaries and exploring new realms of expression, where every set becomes a playground for imagination.
What I do constantly challenges me. Some days I’m deep in the tiniest details; other times, I’m zooming out to consider the bigger picture and how it all resonates. I thrive when I’m pushed. I need to surprise myself, over and over again. I am, without a doubt, my most demanding client.
From still life editorials to fashion shoots to full-blown campaigns — I’m always looking for the next creative mountain to climb. Reinvention isn’t optional. It’s how I breathe.
